Carter's Story

​​In 2021, my life was profoundly changed when we lost our son, Carter, after just two weeks in the NICU. He was born prematurely at 24 weeks, and his brief life had a lasting impact on me. My grief and love for Carter inspired me to start Precious Cargo, a transportation company dedicated to showing that transportation is more than just getting a ride- it's a way of life. Having worked in transportation for eight years, I came to see transportation as a metaphor for how we carry our children through life. Even pregnancy is a form of transportation, as we nurture our children from the beginning. At Precious Cargo, we carry this belief forward, ensuring that every child we transport is treated with the utmost care and respect. Through Precious Cargo, I honor Carter's memory by helping families navigate their daily lives with peace of mind, knowing their precious ones are in good hands.
